First Aid and CPR Training
  • Online component must be completed by November 25.
  • Cost is $15 due by November 9, 2024
  • Full one day course 8:30 - 4:30 is on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship and Trades Presentation
  • There will be an hour long presentation about careers in trades and apprenticeship.
  • Information about what the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship program is be available.
    • level one tuition paid, 300 hour trade hours earned, and indenture fee covered
  • December 12 from 11:00 - 12:00.

Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Program
    • A program set up for high school students to gain apprenticeship hours and learn more about careers and opportunities with trades in Saskatchewan. In addition to completing this program, students will also have an opportunity
    • Benefits of this program:

    • What do I need to do: Obtain 3 levels with four tasks in each level

    • Tuition is sponsored for Métis qualified students (registered) (Citizenship Registry)
    • June 1 - 30 Application Period
    • Apply first to Gabriel Dumont Online, write why do you want to be a teacher, official transcripts, reference letters x 2, confirmation of Métis ancestry (MN-S card or letter of support from a Métis Regional or Local Representatives), then you apply to the U of R - March 15 deadline

Terminology:
 
Loans - Money provided by the Government of Saskatchewan and Canada to assist students who quality for need. This money DOES need to be paid back.
 
Grants - Money provided by the Government of Saskatchewan and Canada that DOES NOT need to be paid back for students in need.
 
Saskatchewan Advantage - The Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship will provide $750 per year, to a lifetime maximum of $3,000, to eligible Saskatchewan grade 12 graduates attending a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution.
